Transmission oil cooler for the automatic gearbox cooling circuit. Automatic transmission fluid is routed out of the gearbox, through the cooler core where heat is shed, and returned to the gearbox.

Keeping the fluid within its working temperature range protects the clutch packs, the torque converter and the fluid itself from heat degradation under sustained load such as towing or prolonged low-speed work.

For the 5.0L V8 petrol (AJ133) with the ZF 6HP26 / 6HP28 automatic transmission.
