Output Shaft Oil Seal for the ZF 9HP 9-speed automatic transmission (9HP48 / 9HP50).

The seal is fitted in the transmission housing around the output shaft, running on the shaft sealing surface to retain automatic transmission fluid and to exclude road water and dirt from the gearbox internals. It is a standard renewal item whenever the output shaft, output flange or transfer unit is disturbed, and a common source of fluid leakage at the transmission output as the sealing lip hardens with age.

Inspect the shaft sealing surface for scoring or a wear groove before fitting, and lubricate the new sealing lip with clean transmission fluid on assembly.
