Transmission sump gasket for the Borg Warner 35 three-speed automatic gearbox, sealing the oil pan to the underside of the transmission case.

The pan holds the gearbox fluid reservoir and encloses the filter and the valve body, so this joint is broken on every fluid and filter service and the gasket should be renewed each time the pan is dropped.

The pan flange is thin and distorts readily if the bolts are over-tightened; a distorted flange is a common cause of a leak that persists after a new gasket is fitted.

Fitment Notes JAGUAR — Borg Warner BW35 automatic gearbox sump (oil pan) gasket. Fits Daimler V8, Jaguar Mk2, S-Type, XJ6 Series 1 and XJ6 Series 2.
