Gearbox Mounting Bracket - support bracket in the transmission mounting assembly, carrying the rear of the gearbox on the vehicle structure.

The bracket locates between the gearbox casing and the rubber transmission mount, transferring the weight of the gearbox into the crossmember while the mount absorbs driveline vibration and torque reaction. A cracked or distorted bracket lets the gearbox sit out of position, which shows as driveline vibration and altered propshaft working angles.

For rear-wheel-drive applications with the 3.0L supercharged V6 and 5.0L supercharged V8 petrol engines. The gearbox must be supported from below before the bracket is unbolted.
