Disc Brake Handbrake Kit - a transmission handbrake conversion that replaces the original drum-type parking brake with a disc arrangement on the driveline.
The drum transmission brake loses effectiveness once wet or packed with dirt and needs frequent adjustment; the disc conversion addresses this and reduces rotating mass in the driveline. The disc is smaller than the original drum, so ground clearance is unaffected.
The kit includes a sealed high-clamping-force caliper with anti-rattle, high-friction pads, a brake disc, a steel mounting plate with a built-in disc-protector skid plate, and a new operating cable. Replacement pads are available separately as TFDBHBK PADS.
