Sealing Washer seals the bleed screw on the diesel fuel filter, within the fuel supply system of the 200 Tdi and 300 Tdi engines.

The fibre washer fits under the head of the fuel filter bleed screw, sealing the joint so that no fuel weeps and no air is drawn in once the screw is tightened after bleeding the system. It is renewed whenever the bleed screw is disturbed. The equivalent part number is ERR6192.

Frequently asked questions

What does the AEU2149L sealing washer do?
The AEU2149L is a fibre sealing washer fitted under the head of the diesel fuel filter's bleed screw on 200Tdi and 300Tdi engines. It seals the joint so fuel doesn't weep and air can't be drawn in once the screw is retightened after bleeding.
Can this washer be reused, or does it need replacing every time?
These are typically single-use once compressed. Reusing a fibre sealing washer risks a poor seal and fuel weep or air ingress, so it's best replaced whenever the bleed screw is removed.
How many washers are needed for a fuel filter bleed?
Just one, it seals the single bleed screw on the fuel filter housing. Keep a spare on hand since the washer is disturbed every time the system is bled.
