M14 Flag Type Nut - captive fastener used in the suspension mounting hardware.

The nut is carried on a flag-shaped steel tab that locates it against the surrounding bracket or panel, holding the fastener in position and preventing it from turning while the bolt is tightened from the opposite side. This allows the joint to be assembled without spanner access to the nut itself. Thread size M14.

Frequently asked questions

What is the LR161093G nut used for?
The LR161093G is a captive flag-type nut used in Land Rover suspension mounting hardware. It's carried on a steel tab that holds it against the bracket or panel, stopping it turning while the bolt is tightened from the other side.
How many of these nuts do I need?
The LR161093G is sold individually, so order the quantity your repair needs. Flag nuts are typically used one per mounting point, so count the fixing locations you're renewing before ordering.
Can I reuse the old nut, or fit a new one?
Fit a new LR161093G whenever the captive nut is damaged, corroded, or its thread is stretched. Suspension fasteners typically hold safety-critical joints, so a fresh nut gives a reliable clamp rather than risking a worn thread.
