Electric Parking Brake (EPB) Actuator for the parking brake system.

This motor-driven unit applies and releases the rear parking brake electronically, replacing a manual handbrake lever. On the switch command the actuator tensions the parking-brake cables to clamp the rear brakes, and relieves that tension to release them.

It is mounted to the vehicle underbody and drives the cables running to the rear brakes.
