Radiator Hose - horizontal coolant hose in the engine cooling system of the 4.4 AJ-V8 petrol and 4.2 V8 Supercharged engines.

It connects the radiator to the engine coolant valve assembly, providing the sealed pathway for coolant passing between the radiator and the valve block. The hose is moulded to the original routing, so the bend radii hold their shape under pressure and heat instead of kinking or chafing against adjacent components.

Rubber coolant hoses harden and craze with age and heat cycling, usually first at the clamped ends. Renewing the hose while the cooling system is already drained avoids a second coolant loss soon after the work is finished.
