Single Arm Spare Wheel Carrier - chassis-mounted swing-away carrier for the rear-mounted spare wheel.

The carrier bolts to the chassis rather than to the rear door or tailgate, so the weight of the spare wheel is carried by the chassis and the door is relieved of the load that a door-mounted spare imposes on its hinges. The wheel can be swung clear independently of the rear door or tailgate.

The single arm is held closed by an over-centre lockable lever and is assisted by a gas strut when swinging open.
