Semi-Rigid Recovery Boards - Orange - a pair of moulded traction boards used for self-recovery where a tyre has lost grip in sand, mud or snow.
Each board measures 1210 x 325 x 60mm and is moulded in semi-rigid plastic, so it flexes to follow uneven ground instead of cracking under load. Deep moulded slots and ridges with a textured upper surface spread the wheel load to reduce sinking and give the tyre something to bite on. Recessed grab handles run along each side, both as a hold for carrying and stowing the board and so it can be used as a scoop to clear loose material from around a wheel.
