Water Pump for the engine cooling circuit, belt-driven from the front of the engine.

The pump circulates coolant through the cylinder block, heads and radiator to carry combustion heat away from the engine. This is the non-viscous version, for V8 petrol engines that do not use a viscous fan coupling drive. Supplied with its mounting gasket. For the 3.5L V8 petrol engine.

What is the STC1611 water pump and what does it do?
The STC1611 water pump circulates coolant through the 3.5L V8 petrol engine's block, heads and radiator to carry combustion heat away. It's belt-driven from the front of the engine. This is the non-viscous version, supplied with its mounting gasket.
What does non-viscous mean on this water pump?
Non-viscous means this pump is for 3.5L V8 engines that don't use a viscous fan coupling drive. The viscous and non-viscous pumps differ, so check which fan drive your engine has before ordering. Fitting the wrong type can cause fan or belt fitment problems.
What are the signs the water pump needs replacing?
A failing water pump typically shows as coolant leaking from the weep hole, a bearing rumble or whine from the front of the engine, or overheating. On the V8 it's belt-driven, so a seized pump can also affect the drive belt. Replace it if the bearing has play.
Does this water pump come with a gasket?
Yes, the STC1611 water pump is supplied with its mounting gasket, so you don't need to source one separately. Clean the mating face on the engine before fitting and renew any coolant lost during the job. Fits 3.5L V8 non-viscous applications.
