Castor Correction Wedges - a pair of tapered wedges fitted between the front axle and the leaf springs to restore the castor and differential pin angle on a leaf-sprung chassis.

Each wedge gives a 3-degree correction, realigning the axle after a suspension lift or spring change to recover steering self-centring and on-road handling. They fit with the standard U-bolts (not supplied).

The GA1211 is a pair of tapered castor correction wedges that fit between the front axle and the leaf springs on a Land Rover Series 2 and 3. Each wedge gives a 3-degree correction, resetting the axle and differential pin angle after a suspension lift so the steering self-centres again.
When do I need castor correction wedges?
Castor wedges are typically needed after a leaf-spring lift or spring change has tilted the front axle, which causes wandering steering and poor self-centring. Fitting the wedges restores the original castor angle. They're not usually needed on a standard-height, unmodified Series 2 or 3.
How many wedges are supplied and how do they fit?
This kit supplies two wedges, one per side, for a complete front-axle correction. Each sits between the axle and leaf spring and is clamped by the standard U-bolts, which aren't supplied. Fitting usually means relieving the U-bolts and lifting the spring to slide the wedge into place.
