Brake Pad Set - front axle, part of the front disc brake assembly.

The pads sit in the caliper carrier and are pressed against the brake disc by the caliper pistons under hydraulic pressure from the master cylinder. The front axle carries the majority of the braking load, so front pads wear faster than rear pads and should always be replaced as a complete axle set.

Inspect the disc faces and the caliper slide pins when fitting, and allow a bedding-in period before the pads reach their full working friction level.
