Front timing belt kit for the 2.7L and 3.0L V6 turbo diesel engine - the lower belt of the camshaft timing drive.

The belt is driven from the crankshaft sprocket and runs over the tensioner and idler pulleys to the camshaft drive, keeping valve timing synchronised with crankshaft rotation. Belt condition and correct tension are critical, as failure causes major internal engine damage; the belt is replaced at the specified service interval.

The kit contains the timing belt and the tensioner pulley. Idler pulleys are not included and are supplied separately. On 2.7L applications a new tensioner bolt, LR006027, is required. Camshaft locking pins and a crankshaft locking tool are needed to set the timing correctly during fitting.
