Iridium Spark Plug for the 2.0L 16V TIVCT turbocharged petrol engine (Si4, 240PS).

The plug threads into the cylinder head and fires beneath its coil-on-plug ignition coil, igniting the compressed charge in the combustion chamber. The iridium centre electrode allows a very fine tip diameter, which lowers the voltage required to strike the spark and resists electrode erosion far longer than a conventional nickel electrode.

Spark plugs are replaced as a complete set and tightened to the specified torque. Handle the plug carefully during fitting - a dropped plug can crack the insulator nose without any visible external damage.
