PCV Valve Service Kit - service parts for the positive crankcase ventilation valve, which sits in the crankcase emission control system on the cylinder head cover.

The PCV valve meters blow-by gas out of the crankcase and back into the intake tract under manifold depression, keeping the crankcase slightly below atmospheric pressure and preventing oil mist from being drawn into the induction system. A perished diaphragm or a distorted cap loses that seal, which shows up as raised oil consumption, oil in the intake, unstable idle and crankcase pressure faults.

This kit contains the diaphragm and the cap.

Applies to the 3.0L DOHC GDI supercharged V6 petrol and the 5.0L AJ133 V8 petrol engine in both naturally aspirated and supercharged form.

Frequently asked questions

What is the LR133579LR PCV valve service kit?
The LR133579LR is a service kit for the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve on the cylinder head cover. The PCV valve meters blow-by gas out of the crankcase back into the intake under manifold depression, keeping crankcase pressure in check. It fits 5.0L V8 and 3.0L V6 supercharged petrol engines.
What comes in this PCV service kit?
This is supplied as a service kit rather than a single valve, so it groups the PCV valve service parts needed for the job. It covers the AJ133 5.0L V8 petrol and 3.0L V6 supercharged petrol across the Discovery 4, Range Rover L322 and L405. Check your engine before ordering.
Which engines does this PCV kit fit?
This kit fits the 5.0L V8 petrol (AJ133 naturally aspirated and supercharged) and the 3.0L V6 supercharged petrol. Applications include the Discovery 4, Discovery 5, Range Rover L322, L405, Range Rover Sport L320 and L494. It does not fit diesel engines.
What are the symptoms of a faulty PCV valve?
A faulty PCV valve typically causes rough idle, oil leaks from seals under crankcase pressure, whistling, or increased oil use on these V8 and supercharged V6 petrol engines. A stuck valve upsets the crankcase vacuum, which is why it is serviced as a kit.
