Drive Belt for the belt-driven starter generator (BSG) drive at the front of the engine.

The belt transmits torque between the crankshaft pulley and the belt-integrated starter generator, allowing that unit to restart the engine for stop/start operation, drive the charging function, and add torque assist under load. Because the drive reverses load direction between motoring and generating, the belt runs under high tension and is a scheduled replacement item - inspect for glazing, rib cracking and edge fraying at each service, and check the tensioner condition when fitting a new belt.
