The filter is the final stage of filtration before air reaches the cabin vents, removing pollen, dust, soot and other airborne particulates from the air delivered to the interior. A contaminated or blocked filter restricts vent output at every fan speed and is a common cause of stale odour from the ventilation system.

A PM2.5-rated filter, LR153587, fits the same housing and adds a barrier against fine airborne particulate matter of 2.5 micrometres and below.

The LR153596G is the standard-specification interior cabin air filter for the Range Rover L460 (2022+) and Range Rover Sport L461 (2023+). It's the last filtration stage before air reaches the vents, capturing pollen, dust, soot and airborne particulate from the cabin air supply.
How does this compare to the PM2.5 filter?
The LR153596G is the standard filter. The PM2.5-rated LR153587 uses the same housing but adds filtration of fine particulate down to 2.5 micrometres. Pick LR153596G for standard filtration, or LR153587 for the finer PM2.5 media.
Where does the cabin filter sit?
