Engine Coolant - antifreeze and corrosion inhibitor fluid for the engine cooling system.

The coolant circulates through the engine water jackets, radiator, heater circuit and expansion tank, carrying combustion heat away from the cylinder block and head to the radiator. It lowers the freezing point and raises the boiling point of the circuit charge, and its inhibitor package protects the aluminium, cast iron and elastomer components of the cooling system against corrosion and scale.

Mix with clean water to the concentration specified for the vehicle before filling, and bleed the system fully after refilling.

What happens if the coolant is left in too long?
