Frequently asked questions

What is NLGI-2 grease used for?

NLGI-2 grease is a medium-firm, general-purpose lubricating grease graded to NLGI No. 2 consistency, suited to chassis points, wheel bearings, and joints. This 450g cartridge fits a standard grease gun and is typically used for suspension, propshaft, and steering grease-nipple lubrication.

What does the 450g cartridge format suit?

The 450g cartridge loads directly into a standard grease gun, making it the convenient format for regular chassis greasing. One cartridge typically covers many grease-nipple applications before it runs out, depending on how many lubrication points the vehicle has and how thoroughly each is packed.

What's the difference between the 450g cartridge and the 400g tin?

The 450g cartridge is gun-ready and pushes straight into a standard grease gun, while the 400g tin is an open pack for hand-packing bearings or loading a gun manually. Choose the cartridge for quick grease-nipple work and the tin for packing wheel bearings by hand.
