Steering Rack & Pinion Assembly - the complete steering gear from the Steering Gear and Linkage assembly group, supplied as a rack-and-pinion unit with integrated electric power assist.

The pinion takes its drive from the lower steering column shaft and converts rotation into lateral travel of the rack, which acts through the track rods and steering arms to turn the front wheels. The electric assist motor is mounted directly to the gear housing and provides steering assistance in place of a hydraulic pump and pressure circuit.

Supplied in left-hand drive configuration.
