Front Lower Wishbone - lower control arm of the front double-wishbone suspension, rear-wheel-drive configuration.

It locates the bottom of the front hub carrier, tying it to the subframe through two inboard bushes and carrying the lower ball joint at its outboard end. Working with the upper wishbone, it controls camber and castor through suspension travel and reacts braking, cornering and road-shock loads into the subframe.

Worn inboard bushes or a worn ball joint show up as vague steering, knocking over uneven surfaces and uneven front tyre wear. Front wheel geometry must be checked and reset after replacement.
