Camshaft Cover Bush for the 4.4L M62 B44 V8 petrol engine, fitted at the camshaft cover fixing points on the cylinder head cover. This is the screw-type bush, matched to cover fixings that use a screw rather than a stud and nut.

The bush seats in the cover around the fixing, sealing it and isolating the cover from the cylinder head so it can be clamped down without distorting. The elastomer hardens and takes a permanent set with heat and age, which shows as oil seepage around the cover fixings. Several are used per engine, so they are normally renewed as a complete set whenever the camshaft cover is removed.
