Radius arm bush for the rear suspension, fitted at the forward body mounting of the radius arm.

The radius arm runs forward from the lower suspension arm to a bracket on the body structure and controls fore-and-aft location of the rear hub carrier under acceleration and braking. This bush is the compliant element at that mounting: it isolates driveline and road noise from the body while resisting longitudinal load.

A perished or delaminated bush allows the rear wheel to move rearward under braking, producing a knock over bumps, imprecise rear-end response and uneven rear tyre wear.
