Brand Meyle HD
Rear Anti-Roll Bar Link (drop link) from the rear suspension, connecting the end of the rear anti-roll bar to the suspension arm.

The link feeds the difference in vertical movement between the left and right rear wheels into the anti-roll bar, so that the bar is twisted in roll and resists body lean through corners. Its articulating end joints allow the bar to follow the suspension through its full travel without binding.

Worn links announce themselves as a knock from the rear over rough surfaces and reduce roll control. Links are renewed as an axle pair.

Frequently asked questions

What does the rear anti-roll bar link do?
The rear anti-roll bar link connects the rear anti-roll bar to the suspension so the bar can resist body roll. On the Jaguar XK8/XKR (X100), XJ (X308) and XJ (X350), worn links break that connection and cause knocking. This is a Meyle HD uprated link.
How many rear anti-roll bar links are needed?
Rear anti-roll bar links are typically replaced in pairs, one per side, so most jobs on these Jaguar models need two. Fitting both keeps the rear bar balanced and avoids the second side failing soon after.
What are the signs the rear anti-roll bar link is worn?
Knocking or rattling from the rear over bumps and through turns is the usual sign of a worn anti-roll bar link, caused by play in the ball joints. On these Jaguar XK8, XJ (X308) and XJ (X350) models the Meyle HD link is a stronger replacement.
