Anti-Roll Bar Link for the front suspension, forming part of the front anti-roll bar assembly.

The link connects the end of the anti-roll bar to the front suspension arm, so that vertical movement on one side of the axle is fed into the bar and resisted by the other. This is what limits body roll through a corner. A ball joint at each end allows the link to articulate through the full range of suspension travel.

One link is fitted per side. A worn link usually makes itself known as a knock or rattle over uneven surfaces, and links are normally replaced in pairs so that roll resistance stays even across the axle.

What does the front anti-roll bar link do?
The front anti-roll bar link connects the anti-roll bar to the front suspension so the bar can resist body roll. On the Jaguar XJ (X308) 1997-2003, worn link joints break that connection and cause knocking. This is a Meyle HD uprated link.
