Brand Meyle HD
Track Rod End ball joint for the steering linkage. It forms the adjustable pivoting connection at the outer end of the track rod, transmitting steering input to the road wheel while allowing toe adjustment during wheel alignment.

The tapered ball stud seats into the steering arm and articulates as the suspension moves through its travel, maintaining accurate steering geometry under load. A threaded shank and lock nut set the track rod length.

Frequently asked questions

What does the track rod end do?
The track rod end is the outer pivoting joint of the steering linkage on the Range Rover Velar L560. It connects the track rod to the steering arm, transmits steering input to the road wheel, and allows toe adjustment during alignment.
How many track rod ends are usually needed?
Track rod ends are usually fitted one per side, and many mechanics replace both left and right together to keep steering wear even. Check whether your job needs one side or a pair before ordering.
What are the signs a track rod end is worn?
A worn track rod end shows as knocking or play in the steering, vague or wandering steering, and uneven front tyre wear on the Velar L560. It is also a common MOT failure point.
Does fitting a new track rod end affect wheel alignment?
Yes. The track rod end sets front toe, so wheel alignment should be checked and reset after fitting. Skipping alignment can cause rapid, uneven tyre wear.
How do I confirm this fits my Velar?
This fits the Range Rover Velar L560 from 2017, all engines, under Land Rover reference 623123479. It is listed via AllMakes rather than the JLR catalogue, so use your VIN to confirm the variant.
