What does the LR003152 oil seal do?
The LR003152 oil seal seals the front differential where the drive flange exits the axle case on the Freelander 2 and Range Rover Evoque L538. It runs against the differential output flange, retaining axle oil and keeping out dirt and water.
When should this differential flange seal be replaced?
Replace this seal whenever the front drive flange or driveshaft is disturbed, or if oil is weeping from the front axle case on the Freelander 2 or Evoque L538. A hardened or cut seal lip lets differential oil escape and lets contaminants in.
What's the difference between the LR003152 and LR003152LR seals?
Both are the front differential flange seal for the same applications. The LR003152 is the OEM Corteco version, while the LR003152LR is the Genuine Land Rover branded part. Either fits the 6-speed AWF21 auto or M66 manual AWD driveline.
