Ride Height Sensor - electronic air suspension height sensor.

The sensor links the suspension arm to the body and continuously reports the ride height at its corner to the air suspension control module. The module uses this signal to regulate air spring pressure, holding the selected ride height and keeping the vehicle level under changing load. A faulty or mis-calibrated sensor can trigger suspension fault warnings, incorrect height adjustment or an uneven stance.

Frequently asked questions

What does the ride height sensor do?
The ride height sensor links a suspension arm to the body and reports the ride height at its corner to the air suspension control module. The module uses that signal to regulate air spring pressure and keep the vehicle level. It fits Discovery 5, Range Rover L405 and Range Rover Sport L494.
What are the signs this sensor needs replacing?
A faulty or mis-calibrated ride height sensor can trigger suspension fault warnings, incorrect height adjustment or an uneven stance. Faults usually point to the affected corner.
How many ride height sensors does the vehicle have?
These air suspension systems typically use one sensor per corner. The faulty corner is usually the one replaced, though the system needs calibrating after fitting so it reads height correctly.
How do I confirm this fits my vehicle?
This sensor fits the Discovery 5 from VIN (V)HA000001, Range Rover L405 from 2013 and Range Rover Sport L494 from 2014, all with air suspension. Check your VIN and suspension type to confirm.
