Front lower suspension arm (wishbone), right-hand side, from the front strut suspension assembly.
The arm locates the base of the wheel knuckle against the front subframe, establishing camber and caster geometry and feeding braking and cornering loads into the body structure. It pivots on two inboard bushes at the subframe and carries the lower ball joint at its outboard end, where it connects to the knuckle.
Worn bushes or a worn ball joint produce knocking over broken surfaces, vague or wandering steering, and camber and caster readings that will not hold their settings. Replacement inboard bushes are available separately as LR1261189BFM and, for the rear position, LR1261189BRR. A four-wheel alignment is required after fitting.
