Rear Air Suspension Spring - rear axle assembly of vehicles built with four corner air suspension.

The air spring is the load-carrying element at the rear corner, mounted between the rear suspension link and the body. At the rear the spring and the damper are separate components, so this part renews the spring alone and leaves the damper in place. Working pressure is set by the air suspension control module through the compressor and valve block, referenced to the corner ride height sensor, holding the selected ride height as load changes. A perished or split bellows shows as a corner that drops when the vehicle is left standing and as a compressor that runs more often than it should.
