Differential Oil Seal - rear axle final drive assembly.

The seal runs on the rotating shaft where it passes through the differential housing, retaining the axle oil and excluding water and road dirt from the bearing behind it. A scored or hardened running surface will cause a replacement seal to leak, so the shaft and the bearing behind it should be inspected whenever the seal is renewed.

Supplied as a single seal.

Frequently asked questions

What is the LR174475G differential oil seal?
The LR174475G is the rear differential oil seal (OEM, Corteco) for the rear axle final drive. It runs on the rotating shaft where it passes through the differential housing, keeping the axle oil in and water and road dirt out of the bearing behind it. Supplied as a single seal.
Why do differential oil seals leak?
A differential oil seal typically leaks when its running surface hardens with age or the shaft it rides on is scored. A replacement seal will leak again on a damaged shaft, so inspect the shaft and the bearing behind the seal whenever you renew it. Signs are oil residue around the axle output.
Does the LR174475G fit my Velar?
The LR174475G fits the Range Rover Velar (L560) 2017 on, rear axle, and covers multiple axle configurations including the open differential. Because the Velar ran several axle setups, confirm your differential type before ordering.
