Levelling Valve - rear-axle solenoid valve in the air supply and distribution circuit of the four-corner air suspension system.

The valve sits between the air supply unit - compressor and pressure reservoir - and the rear air springs. On command from the suspension control module it opens to admit or release air so the rear axle can be raised, lowered or levelled, then seals to hold the selected height while the vehicle stands.

Because the valve is also the sealing element for the corner it feeds, a worn seat or a sticking solenoid shows up as slow height loss overnight, a vehicle standing unevenly, or the compressor cutting in repeatedly to make up lost pressure. Depressurise the system before disconnecting any air line at the valve.
