Front Lower Spring Pan - lower seat for the front road spring, part of the front spring and damper assembly group.

The pan is the pressed lower mounting plate that carries the base of the front road spring. It locates on a collar on the damper body, so that the spring load is reacted through the damper into the lower suspension.

Corrosion or distortion of the pan allows the spring to seat incorrectly, and the pan is commonly renewed whenever the front spring and damper assembly is dismantled.
