Front Shock Absorber - the telescopic damper of the front road spring and damper assembly, in the sport-calibrated specification for 6.0L applications.

It locates at its lower end on the front suspension lower wishbone and at its upper end in the body-side damper turret, working inside the front road spring to control spring oscillation and keep the tyre loaded through compression and rebound. Sport calibration runs firmer valving than the comfort specification, tightening body control in roll and pitch at the cost of a firmer ride.

Replace dampers in axle pairs so that damping stays balanced side to side. The upper mounting isolator (MMD2144AA) is a common companion renewal.
