Front Suspension Damper from the front road spring and damper assembly, located between the lower suspension arm and the body-mounted top mount.

The damper controls oscillation of the front road spring, resisting both compression and rebound movement through valved hydraulic flow so that the tyre remains loaded over uneven surfaces and body movement under cornering and braking is contained. This unit carries the damping rate specified for supercharged applications.

Dampers are renewed as an axle pair so that damping rates remain matched from side to side. The top mount and bump stop are separate components and are best inspected while the damper is removed.
