Drag link tube - the tube section of the drag link assembly, the steering rod connecting the steering box drop arm to the steering arm on the swivel hub.

It translates the arc of the drop arm into lateral movement at the road wheel and therefore carries the full steering input load as well as any feedback from the front axle. Play or distortion in the linkage is felt as slack at the steering wheel and wander on the straight-ahead.

Threaded at each end for the drag link ends and their clamps, allowing the assembled length and the straight-ahead steering wheel position to be set. Left-hand drive steering linkage.

Frequently asked questions

What is the QEK000050 drag link tube used for?
The QEK000050 drag link tube is the main steering link on the Range Rover P38 (1994-2001). It connects the steering box drop-arm to the swivel and transmits your steering input to the wheels. It's a core part of the steering linkage.
Does this drag link tube fit right-hand drive P38 models?
No, the QEK000050 drag link tube is the left-hand drive version for the Range Rover P38 (1994-2001). Right-hand drive vehicles use a different-length link. Confirm your P38 is left-hand drive before ordering, as the drag link is not interchangeable between drive sides.
What are the signs the P38 drag link needs replacing?
On the Range Rover P38, play or wandering steering, uneven tyre wear, and knocking over bumps typically point to worn drag link joints. A bent tube after off-road impact also needs replacing. Renewing the drag link restores accurate steering geometry on the linkage.
