Ride Height Sensor for the front left-hand corner of the Electronic Air Suspension (EAS) system, early specification.

The sensor body mounts to the chassis with its lever arm linked to the front suspension arm, converting suspension travel into an electrical signal. The air suspension ECU reads the signal from each corner sensor to determine actual ride height, then controls the air supply and exhaust valves that raise and lower the vehicle to the selected height.

A sensor that reads out of range, sticks, or drifts typically shows as an incorrect standing height at that corner, uneven levelling, or an air suspension fault warning. Early and later sensors differ, so check the connector and mounting against the sensor being replaced.
