Front Shock Absorber for vehicles fitted with the Adaptive Dynamics continuously variable damping system, forming part of the front damper and road spring assembly.

The unit mounts between the lower suspension arm and the body turret, controlling road spring oscillation and wheel movement throughout its stroke. In place of a fixed damping rate it carries an electrically operated proportional valve, wired into the vehicle harness and commanded by the suspension control module, so damping force is varied continuously in response to road surface and driver inputs.

Fitted one per side. Replace in axle pairs so damping characteristics remain matched across the axle, and check the top mount and bump stop condition while the strut is out.
