Brand Jaguar
Front Shock Absorber from the front suspension of rear-wheel-drive applications.

The damper works against the front road spring, converting suspension movement into heat through hydraulic valving so that spring oscillation is controlled and the tyre is held in contact with the road surface. Failure shows as fluid loss down the body, a soft or floating ride and uneven tyre wear; dampers are replaced in axle pairs so that damping stays balanced from side to side.

Supplied as a single damper.

Frequently asked questions

What is this front shock absorber used for?
The front shock absorber damps the front road spring on rear-wheel-drive Jaguar XF (X260) 2016 on. It converts suspension movement into heat through hydraulic valving, controlling spring oscillation so the tyre stays in contact with the road.
What are the signs a front shock absorber needs replacing?
A failed front shock absorber shows as fluid loss down the body, a soft or floating ride and uneven tyre wear on the Jaguar XF. Dampers are replaced in axle pairs so damping stays balanced side to side.
Is this shock absorber sold singly, and how many do I need?
This front shock absorber is supplied as a single damper for the Jaguar XF (X260) 2016 on. Replace both front dampers as a pair so the front axle stays balanced, so you will typically need two for a complete front repair.
