Steering Rack Gaiter Kit for the rack and pinion steering assembly.

The pleated bellows seals the end of the steering rack housing where the inner tie rod enters, retaining the rack lubricant and keeping water, grit and road salt away from the rack teeth and the inner ball joint. A split or perished gaiter lets contamination straight into the rack and is a common cause of rack wear, steering play and fluid leakage, so it is worth inspecting whenever the steering or front suspension is worked on.

This kit contains the gaiter and its retaining clip, together with grease. Two gaiters are fitted per vehicle, one at each end of the rack.
