Front Shock Absorber - hydraulic damper in the front suspension, for vehicles built without adaptive damping.

The damper is mounted between the front lower suspension arm and the body mounting and works with the front road spring to control spring oscillation, keeping the tyre loaded against the road surface under braking, cornering and over uneven ground.

This is the passive unit, with no solenoid and no electrical connection. It is not interchangeable with the electronically controlled damper used on cars specified with adaptive damping.
