BUYING GUIDEGenuine valve and camshaft parts carry the Land Rover part number. OEM valve and camshaft parts come from original-equipment manufacturers. Aftermarket also covers value and off-road brands.
Budget Parts lists Genuine, OEM and aftermarket options in this collection. The available quality tier varies by part, so check the individual product listing when comparing options.
Single part, set or kit. Valve stem seals, camshaft bearings and tappets are listed singly and, in some cases, as sets or kits, such as a valve stem seal set of 24 for the 3.2 litre I6. Read the title to see what you are ordering.
BEFORE YOU ORDERParts here are listed for the Land Rover Series, Land Rover Defender, Land Rover Discovery, Land Rover Freelander and Range Rover families, including camshafts titled for the 2.25 litre engine and valves titled for the 5.0 V8. For older models covered by the catalogues, use the Land Rover parts catalogues to help identify the correct part number before ordering.
Start with the engine, then the part number. Many titles name the engine, such as the 300Tdi, Td5 or V8, and others do not, so check the part number. Quote the full VIN or chassis number, and the engine number where you have it, with any fitment enquiry. The VIN helps check production changes against your vehicle, but some engine parts changed by engine number instead.
Read the title. Valves are titled Inlet or Exhaust, as are some valve guides, rocker arms, camshafts and valve stem seals, and some parts are also titled LH or RH. Order exactly what the title states and check the part number before ordering.
Yes, Land Rover electrical parts lists both. This collection lists camshaft position sensors only, so look for crankshaft position sensors under electrical parts. Check the part number before ordering.
Genuine valve and camshaft parts carry the Land Rover part number. OEM valve and camshaft parts come from original-equipment manufacturers. Aftermarket also covers value and off-road brands.
Timing belts, timing chains and crankshaft pulleys are listed in Land Rover belts, chains and pulleys, and head gaskets are listed under Land Rover engine parts with the other engine gaskets.
