The unit combines the wheel hub flange and a sealed bearing in a single assembly that mounts to the front hub carrier. It carries the road wheel and brake disc and locates the driveshaft outer joint through its splined centre.

Supplied as a complete assembly - the bearing is not separately serviceable. Renew when roughness, wheel-end play or bearing noise is traced to the front hub. Observe the specified hub nut torque and use a new nut where the original is a stretch or staked type.
