Oil Seal - Front Axle Case - output seal in the front axle case and differential assembly.

Seals the point where the drive output passes out of the front differential housing, retaining axle oil and keeping road dirt and water away from the bearing and joint behind it. A hardened, split or weeping seal first shows as an oil film on the axle case and shaft, and in time as a falling differential oil level.

The seal is a press fit in its housing. Clean the bore and the sealing land before fitting and drive the new seal in square, taking care not to damage the lip or the spring behind it.
