Wiper Blade for the windscreen wiper system.
The blade carries the flexible rubber wiping element in a sprung metal frame that follows the curvature of the screen and clips to the wiper arm, so that the arm's spring pressure is spread evenly along the element.
Wiping quality depends on the condition of the rubber wiping edge and on even pressure across the blade length. Smearing, chatter and missed bands across the swept area indicate a perished or distorted element.
