View full detailsThe Land Rover Defender L663 is the current-generation Defender, built on Land Rover's D7x aluminium unibody architecture and produced in Nitra, Slovakia from 2020 to present. It is available in three body configurations: the Defender 90 (3-door), the Defender 110 (5-door), and the Defender 130 (5-door extended, 8-seat). The L663 shares no body panels, drivetrain components, or structural parts with the Classic Defender (L316) that preceded it. Parts from the Classic Defender range do not fit the L663.
Reference note: official L663 technical specifications are available via the Land Rover Media Centre technical data archive.
Fitment NotesThe L663 is available with a range of petrol and diesel engines from the AJ200 and AJ300 Ingenium families, alongside a plug-in hybrid variant. The engine fitted to your vehicle determines which fuel system, cooling, ancillary, and filtration parts are compatible. Before ordering engine parts, confirm your engine variant from your VIN plate or vehicle registration document.
Petrol variants:
Diesel variants:
The P400e PHEV uses a high-voltage battery system and an additional electric motor alongside the combustion engine. Braking, cooling, and driveline components on P400e models differ from those on standard petrol and diesel variants. If your vehicle is a P400e, confirm the specific component requirement for your variant before selecting parts.
All L663 variants use a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission with a 2-speed transfer case providing permanent four-wheel drive.
Suspension FitmentThe Defender 110 and Defender 130 are fitted with air suspension as standard across all variants. The Defender 90 is available with either air suspension or coil springs depending on specification. Air suspension components and coil spring components are not interchangeable. Before ordering any suspension part for a Defender 90, confirm whether your vehicle has air or coil suspension. This information is available on your VIN plate and in your vehicle handbook.
Buying GuideParts in this collection are marked as OEM, Genuine, or Aftermarket. The distinction matters for fitment decisions and budget planning.
Genuine parts are produced by Land Rover or its authorised supply chain and carry the Land Rover part number. They are the closest match to factory specification.
OEM parts are produced by the same manufacturers that supply Land Rover's production line, but sold outside the Genuine parts programme. They meet the same manufacturing standards as Genuine parts in most cases and are typically priced lower.
Aftermarket parts are produced by independent manufacturers to fit the L663 platform. Quality varies by brand and application. For safety-critical systems including brakes, steering, and suspension, Budget Parts stocks aftermarket parts from established brands only.
If your vehicle is within a valid Land Rover warranty period, confirm with your dealer whether fitting aftermarket or OEM parts affects your warranty before ordering.
The L663 has been in production since 2020 and has received specification updates across model years. If you are ordering a part and are unsure whether it matches your build, your 17-digit VIN is the most reliable reference. The VIN is stamped on the door sill plate, the windscreen base, and the vehicle registration document. The VIN encodes your model year, engine variant, body style, and build market, which allows Budget Parts to confirm part compatibility before you order.
If you cannot find the part you need in this collection, use the backorder option. Budget Parts will source the part from its supplier network and notify you when it is ready to dispatch.
Technical GuidesThe following guides provide deeper technical context for Defender L663 ownership, service planning, and parts selection.
Known failure areas across the Defender range including L663 fitment considerations, common parts requirements by variant, and what EU owners and workshops should verify before ordering.
Defender parts Europe 2025 →The diagnostic process for overheating on Land Rover Ingenium engines, including the cooling system components most likely to require replacement. Relevant to L663 owners with D300 or P400 engines.
Land Rover overheating diagnosis →For component-specific browsing, the following category collections cover L663-compatible parts alongside other Land Rover models.
Brake discs, pads, callipers, and full brake system components for Defender L663 and the wider Land Rover range.
Land Rover brake parts →Air suspension and coil spring components, shock absorbers, bushes, and suspension fitting hardware.
Land Rover suspension parts →AJ200 and AJ300 Ingenium engine service parts, ancillaries, gaskets, and rebuild components.
Land Rover engine parts →Sensors, modules, wiring components, and electrical ancillaries for current-generation Defender models.
Land Rover electrical parts →No. The Defender L663 (2020 to present) is built on the D7x aluminium unibody platform and shares no structural, body, or drivetrain components with the Classic Defender (L316), which was produced from 1983 to 2016. Parts designed for Classic Defender models will not fit the L663. If you own a pre-2016 Defender, use the Classic Defender parts collection.
Yes, in some categories. The three body variants share the same D7x platform and powertrain options, but differ in wheelbase, body length, interior configuration, and in some cases suspension setup. The Defender 90 can be specified with either air suspension or coil springs, while the 110 and 130 come with air suspension as standard. Rear-end body parts, interior trim components, and some suspension parts are body-variant specific. Always confirm your body variant and build specification before ordering.
The most reliable method is your 17-digit VIN, which can be decoded to identify your engine variant, model year, and market specification. The VIN is located on the door sill plate, the base of the windscreen, and your vehicle registration document. Your vehicle handbook also lists the engine code on the specification page. For diesel models, the AJ200D (4-cylinder) and AJ300D (6-cylinder) engines have different service part requirements. For petrol models, the P400e PHEV has additional electric drivetrain components not present on the P300 or P400.
Genuine parts carry the Land Rover part number and are produced by Land Rover's authorised supply chain. OEM parts are produced by the same manufacturers that supply Land Rover's production line but sold outside the Genuine programme, typically at a lower price. Aftermarket parts are produced by independent manufacturers to fit the L663. For safety-critical components including brakes, suspension, and steering, Budget Parts stocks aftermarket parts from established brands. Each product listing on this page states its quality classification.
Yes. If a part is not currently in stock, the backorder option is available on the product listing. Budget Parts will source the part from its supplier network and contact you with an update once the part is located and ready. This covers both OEM and Genuine parts that may have longer lead times due to supply chain availability.
Yes, in certain categories. The P400e uses a 2.0-litre AJ200 petrol engine combined with a high-voltage electric motor and a 13.1 kWh battery system. Components related to the braking system (which includes regenerative braking), high-voltage battery cooling, and the electric drivetrain are specific to the P400e and differ from those on the standard P300 and P400 petrol variants. If your vehicle is a P400e, confirm the exact component specification with Budget Parts before ordering parts in these categories.
