The element sits in the HVAC filter tray upstream of the blower motor and evaporator, so all air drawn into the cabin passes through it. It combines a particulate media layer, which traps pollen, dust and road grit, with an activated carbon layer that reduces exhaust and traffic odours. A clogged filter restricts airflow, weakens demisting performance and increases blower motor load.
