Turbocharger Coolant Hose from the engine cooling circuit, serving the turbocharger on the 3.0L AJ20P6 petrol engine.

The hose carries engine coolant through the turbocharger bearing housing, drawing away heat conducted from the turbine side and limiting oil coking in the bearing after shutdown. It ties the turbocharger water jacket into the main coolant circuit and is routed close to hot exhaust components, so it is a moulded item shaped to its run rather than a cut length of straight hose.

Perishing, swelling or splitting at the connections shows up as coolant loss around the turbocharger and a falling expansion tank level.
